Mapleton Early Childhood Center is a preschool in the Boulder Valley School District housed in the historic 1888 stone schoolhouse on Mapleton Hill. Built to serve Boulder's growing community, the building has long been part of neighborhood life, hosting generations of learners. Today Mapleton offers free and tuition programs for 140 children ages 3-5, with full-day and enrichment options and a play-based curriculum that supports social-emotional, physical, language, and cognitive development as well as early literacy, math, science, social studies, and the arts.
